Teen Book Trailer Contest

Do you like making videos?

Conider entering Millhopper Library's Book Trailer Contest!

Open to participants under age 20, this contest highlights books made in the last two years (2016 or 2017 publications only, please) that are in Alachua County Library Districts Young Adult collection. We challenge you to create an exciting and engaging trailer that will entice viewers into reading the book.

Please follow the below requirements and guidelines for Millhopper's Book Trailer COntest.

You Can:
Work individually or as a team of up to 5 members.
Create an original video of up to 120 seconds in length.
Include the book's title and author and say that the book is "available at Alachua County Library District."
Use appropriate language and content. Trailer can be disqualified based on inappropriate content.
Submit one video for judging.

You should not:
Use video, music, or images that you do not have the right to use. There are many resources for royalty free material online. For more information, see: http://search.creativecommons.org.

How to enter:

Fill out the submission form completely and bring a copy of your video file to Millhopper library between August 1st and August 18th. (We will transfer your file to our own drive.)

Judging and Prizes:
First round judging will be for originality, rights, and appropriateness.
Second round judging will be for creativity, innovation, and quality.
Winning entries will go up on our website and social media platforms.

Prizes will be announced at a future time.

Key dates:
August 1st, 2017: Contest opens
August 18th, 2017: Contest closes
September 28th, 2017: Book Trailer Showing and Awards ceremony.
