Flock to Newberry Library for Crafternoons!

This summer was a frenzy of fun activities out at Newberry Library! From our Summer Kick-Off Bash, to Magic Mike, to Preschool Story time, you’re always sure to find something exciting new to do at the Library!

Every Tuesday around 3:00 PM, you will find the party is in the meeting room! We started Crafternoons just before summer started and they have been a ton of fun. We’ve done balloon rocket races, climbing robots, bubble popping parties, and much more.

Earlier this summer, we took crafting to the next level, painting and decorating our very own bird houses to hang outside. We saw many fantastic designs, creative painting, and even some school spirit! Stickers, paint, butterflies and feathers – what more could you want?

How about some live birds?

The next day, the Birds Fanciers came out and visited along with some of their fine-feathered friends, and they had some tricks just for us! The colorful birds were quirky and friendly, letting several of our younger viewers come over and pet them afterwards.

If you can’t come out to play, be sure to check out our photos on Flickr.com, or look us up on Facebook!
