Kids'n Capes Read Aloud: CELEBRATING COURAGEOUS KIDS!

Come join us on Saturday February 13th @ 11am as we host this local children's author event.

The Kids'n Capes Literacy Empowerment Program is for kid-size superheroes ages 3-7, though all elementary ages are welcome. This program empowers children to discover and activate their superpower-courage-immediately when someone makes them feel uncomfortable. The program focuses on educating children by using The Feisty Four Children's Book Series, by local author Kandra Albury including the following titles: "Don't You Dare Touch Me There!" (sexual abuse prevention), NO!...And I Mean NO!, Let's Say NO To Drugs!" (resisting peer pressure/ illegal drug use) and "Leave Us Alone You Mean'ole Bully!" (bullying prevention).

During the one-hour, interactive read aloud kids wear capes, dance and sing songs to help them remember the importance of activating their superpower-courage! There will also be guest appearances by Spiderman and Ironman who will be handing out Valentine Cards at the end of the interactive read alouds.
