The public is invited to participate in ACCESS - Alachua County Civic Education Series starting on April 6, this series of Monday morning sessions will take you behind the scenes to see how our government works and to meet the men and women who serve the County. Each session showcases specific County Departments and Constitutional Offices at different locations. Alachua County Library District is part of this first session and will present an overview of its services and programs.
Participants receive detailed information about the operations of county departments, special districts, and Constitutional Officers. The sessions include presentations, handouts, tours, hands-on activities and question/answer periods. Participants must be 18 years or older and have transportation to class sites and register by March 27. Attendance at all sessions is recommended, however, you must attend at least five (5) of the seven (7) sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
