Gainesville, Fla. – The Alachua County Library District invites quilters to share their stitch works for the 2021 Virtual Quilt Show by Monday, March 22.

Participants can submit up to two quilts or quilted items made in 2020. Submissions must be made electronically as a PDF, JPEG or PNG file with a completed entry form. Email sgrainger@aclib.us for entry forms and submission instructions or call 352-334-3941. Two photos of each entry (one photo of the whole piece and one detail photo) may be submitted. Quilts will be displayed on the Library District’s website and social media in April.

“Quilting is a creative outlet that also helps relieve stress, which is especially important during these trying times,” said Librarian and Quilt Show organizer Sarah Grainger. “Because it involves memory, attention span, and problem-solving, quilting is also good for the brain.”
