DIY Spice Mixes: Learn to Make Adobo

Have you ever wanted to create your own spice mix? Look no further! In this video, you can watch as we create our own spice mix, starting with the basic adobo recipe.

To do this at home, you will need the following:

A blender

A container for your mix

Ingredients

1 tbsp turmeric

1 tbsp oregano

1 tbsp granulated garlic

1 tbsp cumin

1 tbsp salt

1 tbsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Measure out your spices. You can add or take away according to your preference.
  2. Put all your mixes into your blender using the flat blade, if possible.
  3. Blend until it is an even, fine powder.
  4. VoilĂ ! You have your own blend. Put into the labelled container and use at will.

You can experiment with this base recipe by adding things such as dried culantro and achiote depending on your needs.
