The library's gone batty!

The Lubee Bat Conservancy will be visiting the Headquarters library on Wednesday, April 26th at 11:00am in Meeting Room A for an all ages presentation on bats. The conservancy works with a number of large and endangered species of bats from around the world. They will present on a variety of topics including:

  • the difference between micro and mega bats
  • what types of foods bats eat
  • why bats are important for the environment
  • environmental issues that bats are facing in the wild
  • some things people can do to help bats

The presentation will be followed by a showing of live bats. For the safety of all in attendance, the bats will remain in their enclosures. They are all easily visible to attendees. For more information on bats, check out our library's catalog here.
