Ready to tackle a simple knitting project?

If you can knit just a little, you can make a simple scarf or a washcloth.

Are you ready to try?  Join us in the Foundation Room at Headquarters at 2 PM on Monday, March 2nd to work on your first knitting project.

Materials will be provided, but if you have some gorgeous yarn you want to use, and if you already have needles, please feel free to bring your own.

In the meantime, here are some suggestions for knitterly books to get you started.

The Knitter's Companion by Vicki Square

Knitting for Dummies by Pam Allen

The Knitter's Handbook: Essential Skills & Helpful Hints from Knitter's Magazine

Don't worry too much if knitting is difficult the first 200 times you try.  Remember, everything you can do well now, you were probably terrible at for a long time.  And check out this guy on youtube - you can't be worse than him!
