Something overdue? You're in good company

george washingtonGeorge Washington still owes 220 years' worth of late fees on two books he borrowed, but never returned. But our Library District does not charge fines. However, if your account is delinquent with over $50 worth of material overdue for more than 60 days, your account will be referred to an outside agency for "materials recovery" and a $10 fee will appear on your library account. The agency will first send a letter asking for the return of the items, and follow up with telephone calls. To clear your account, you will need to return the items and pay the $10 fee.
