Teen Art Show (ages 12 to 15) at Headquarters Library is October 29 and 30

The Alachua County Library (ACLD) District Teen Art Show is seeking artwork from young artists ages 12 to 15 for display October 29 and 30, at Headquarters Library. Original artwork may be submitted at any ACLD branch library through Tuesday, October 25, 5 p.m. Rules and entries forms are available online at www.aclib.us/teens and at all libraries. Submissions may include paintings, photographs, drawings, collages, sculptures and 3D artwork.

The public is invited to view this Teen Art Show on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30, at Headquarters Library, 401 E. University Avenue. Winners will be announced at the Artist Reception at Headquarters Library on Saturday, October 29, 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places with four honorable mentions. Prize categories include Best in Show, Best Logo, Best Photography, Best Digital Image, Best Sculpture or 3D Artwork and Crowd Favorite. The Crowd Favorite will be announced at www.aclib.us/teens by Friday, November 4.

This is first part of the annual Teen Art Show, the second portion will feature young artists ages 16 to 19 and will take place in early 2017.
