Last weekend the Headquarters Library hosted the Fall Teen Art Show for ages 12-15. We had thirty-nine local teens submit their artwork for a total of seventy pieces. We had artwork in various mediums inlcuding oil paintings, pencil drawings, photography, short videos, mixed media, watercolor, and more.

Five judges from around Gainesville came together wtih the difficult task of awarding thirteen pieces for talent and uniqueness. One judge, Susan Cooksey of the Harn Museum of Art said "Many works had great ideas and execution. I was impressed with those that showed a sense of exploring one's identity and a keen observation of life. Thanks for the chance to see this amazing group of works and to the entrees for sharing them. I hope all of you continue to explore art."
