The New Year started with the Headquarters Branch Makerspace Team having the opportunity to work with students from The Rock School. The project revolved around their favorite book, and by using a 3D modeling program they were able to design and print an object that a visually impaired person would recognize from the book. They also worked with Micro:bits, Hour of Code, paper circuit designs and other makerspace programs. Thanks to an awesome presentation from Create3DModels, the students were able to experiment and play with both Oculus Rift and Oculus Go virtual reality systems. One of the student’s created this image with the Tilt Brush Oculus Rift program.
The entire program was a great success, and The Rock students left with some new technology skills. We wish to thank Create3DModels for the use of the virtual reality programs.
