Vincent Van Gogh said "I dream my paintings, and I paint my dreams."
Last year we showcased 70 pieces of art from teens around the community. If your artwork was not among them, then this is your year. Teens ages 16-19 are welcome to submit their artwork for judging in this year's Spring Teen Art Show. Art can be submitted now through April 20th to any Alachua County Library. A complete Entry Form must be submited with all artwork. You can pick up the entry form and rules at your local library or print a copy from the file at the bottom of this post.
All of the works will be on display in Headquarter's Meeting Room A on Saturday April 28th and Sunday April 29th. A reception and award ceremony will take place on Saturday at 11am. All entrants will recieve participation certificates. Awards and prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, along with Best Digital Artwork, Best Drawing, Best Mixed Media, Best Still Life, Best Logo, and four Honorable Mentions. Crowd Favorite will be annouced on the library's website by Friday May 4th.
All winning artwork will be on display outside of the Teen Area at the Headquarters library through May. The winner of the Best Logo award will have their artwork used for publicity in the Spring Teen Art Show of 2019 . Everyone is encouraged to attend, view, and vote for Crowd Favorite.
