FOODIEspace: Fables and Folklore

Image of Marcia's Brown's Stone Soup with vegetablesTower Road Branch Library invites you to a special event: FOODIEspace: Fables and Folklore, on Wednesday, June 12 @ 1pm.

This is a unique program that combines an interactive storytelling (in English and American Sign Language) of two traditional fables--Stone Soup and The Little Red Hen--with a participatory FOODIEspace where volunteers can assist with cooking the meal and we will then all eat! The soup will be vegetable. The cupcakes will contain flour and eggs.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, and is the only way to ensure you have a meal and the chance to volunteer. Parents and caregivers who will be attending, please register your *children only*, to guarantee space for young patrons. Register hereWalk-ins are also welcome.

Did you know that fables and folklore can be found in the nonfiction section at your local library? That's right! The Dewey Decimal system classfies them in the 398s. Browse you library's shelves or search the catalog and place holds here
