Magic: the Gathering is one of the premiere card games, combining strategy, card collecting, and action, as you build a deck to defeat all comers. Spells, artifacts and creatures aligned to five elements are used to defeat your opponents, and matches can range from one on one to as many players as you want. Magic: the Gathering is famous for the amount of strategy, and strategic collecting, that goes into building a successful deck to beat your opponents. There's even a free online version, Magic Duels! Comic and game shops around the world hold regular get-togethers and tournaments, and now, so do we!
Gamesville Tabletop, our neighborhood card and game shop, has agreed to come to the library every first and third Tuesday of the next few months to help our patrons learn the tricks of MtG and facilitate games for people who are already experts! Patrons of every skill level are invited to come and play Magic with us; this is technically a teen program, but we won't mind if anyone who's young at heart decides to join in. ;)
So, join us, at 2:30 on every first and third Tuesday in the Teen Space at the Tower Road branch library! For those of us without a calendar, these are the exact dates:
See you at the table!
