The Tower Road Branch renovation project continues, with construction crews adding new features every day. Recently, staff had a chance to take a tour of some of the work that is being completed.
If you've visited us in our temporary building you may have seen the changes to the front of the original building. Here's a sneak peek of the new square footage being added near the entrance. Extra space allows us to provide more room for programs, community meetings, and special events.
Speaking of more space, here we are looking out the doorway into the new Quiet Reading Room. A construction worker was getting ready for the new roof to be installed when we snapped this photo. All patrons will be welcome to enjoy the quiet space for work, reading a magazine, or even calm reflection thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library.
After all that quiet you can join the fun in the new Teen Space. Teens will now have their own spot to browse for books, use the computer, or play games. We hope to see you all when we reopen, tentatively scheduled for January of 2018!
