Hopefully you've had a chance to check out some of Tower Road Branch's initial FOODIEspace events. In our Homemade Ice Cream program, we learned about the SCIENCE behind Ice Cream, and made it ourselves with a little help from the Yaylabs! Ice Cream Balls. Many of the adults that attended had so much fun with the kids they asked about how to purchase their own Ice Cream Balls.
Stefanie Hamblen of Hogtown Homegrown helped us learn how to use local, fresh ingredients from Swallowtail Farm to make delicious dishes. Kid's can cook too!
We're excited to add more fun opportunities for you to make and learn together to our upcoming lineup. If you haven't been able to make it to a PancakeBot program yet, we are still hosting one once a month on Saturday mornings. We're getting to know our robot a little better... and soon we'll be announcing it's official name! We've been holding a naming contest, and the winner gets a free pancake breakfast from Metro Diner. So far, we've narrowed it down to Captain Pancake, M.A.P.L.E, or Flap Jackson. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, check out some of these awesome new cookbooks!
