Celebrate Spring with Decorative Vases

Let's begin a step-by-step tutorial on how to rescue a glass bottle from the recycle bin and turn it into a beautiful vase. It's fun, easy, and it will be a great addition to your home decor! When finished, fill your new vase with water and add your favorite flowers or match up your colors with some artificial flowers. Unleash your creativity!

Materials Needed:

  • Glass Bottle
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Scrapbook Paper (I downloaded my design from the website Free Pretty Things for You).
  • Glue Dots (optional)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • Embellishments (lace, ribbon, yarn, beads, clay shapes, etc.)
  • Real or Artificial Flowers

   Choose a glass bottle and remove any labels.

    Choose a color or colors of acrylic paint.

    Apply the paint to the bottle, preferably two coats. Allow to dry.

    Choose a picture with a Spring theme.

    Cut out pieces and temporarily affix to the glass with glue dots.

    After settling on an arrangement, apply permanently with glue.

mod podge
    Cover the entire bottle with a coat of Mod Podge for a glossy sheen.
