Something overdue? You're in good company
George Washington still owes 220 years' worth of late fees on two books he borrowed, but never returned. But our Library District does not charge fines. However, if your account is delinquent with over $50 worth of material overdue for more than 60 days, your account will be referred to an outside agency for "materials recovery" and a $10 fee will appear on your library account. The agency will first send a letter asking for the return of the items, and follow up with telephone calls. To clear your account, you will need to return the items and pay the $10 fee. Details about materials recovery and answers to your other questions are in our FAQ boxes. (There's one below.)

Take control on when you receive your holds
Have you ever wanted to suspend your holds while you were on vacation?
Have you ever struggled with choosing which book to read or DVD to watch because you received 10 items you had on hold at once?
With the new Enhanced Holds feature you can suspend all of your holds at once, or one at a time.
In your account, click on the holds tab and scroll down the page until you see "Activate or Suspend Selected Holds."
