Alachua County is counting on you to be tallied for the 2020 United States Census. An accurate census count helps ensure more resources for our community.
Census data is used to determine how more than $675 billion in federal government funding is distributed each year for the next decade to states and communities. In the past decade, Alachua County lost an estimated $39 million in federal funding due to undercounting in the 2010 Census.
How to complete the 2020 U.S. Census
- Keep an eye out for your census invitation in the mail. The invitation will contain your code to complete your survey.
- Surveys can be finished by mail, online at my2020census.gov, or by phone. You can also complete the survey online without your code.
- Call 844-330-2020 to complete your census by phone.
Due to Covid-19, all Census deadlines have been extended.
