On August 14, 1993, the Archer Branch Library opened its doors and began providing service to the Archer community. The Archer Branch started with 20 hours of service per week, and has gradually increased to 40 hours per week. During that time, the library has offered a wide variety of programs and services and is a vital part of the community it serves. In addition, the library is engaged in the local community, participating in community events including (but not limited to) Party in the Park, Art at the Archer Depot (formerly Yulee Days), and the annual Archer Community Health Fair.
Join us on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 3 p.m. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Archer Branch Library. Be sure to come by and enjoy cake and refreshments, and to see the slideshow of the many accomplishments, programs, and services over the past 25 years. While you're here, listen to the delightful sounds of musical performances by groups including Rockin' Daddies of Gainesville.
During the celebration, we will have a time capsule that will be opened in 25 years, during August 2043. Please bring an item you would like to contribute to the Archer Branch Library's time capsule by Thursday, August 16, 2018.
All members of the community, both young and old, are invited to attend the 25th anniversary celebration. We can't wait to see you there!
