Don't say I didn't warn you

“Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”

―Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil

The referenced media source is missing and needs to be re-embedded.

These words from Nietzche were the foundation of Director Kim Jee-woon's film, I Saw the Devil

Written by Hoon-jung Park, starring Byung-hun Lee (The Good, the Bad, the Weird) and the legendary Min-sik Choi (Oldboy, The Brotherhood of War, [Sympathy for] Lady Vengeance), this dark brutal film follows undercover policeman, Kim Soo-hyeon on his steadfast journey of revenge against the serial killer who murdered his pregnant fianceé.

Though not rated, this film is definitely FOR ADULTS (18+) ONLY.  And only those adults who can stomach vicious violence and truly disturbing content.

Don’t let the subtitles deter you, if you enjoy beautifully shot, well-acted, utterly upsetting entertainment that will haunt and astound you, there’s nothing better than this film.

I Saw the Devil is Korean revenge cinema at its absolute finest.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
