Super Bowl LVIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. Which team will lift the Lombardi Trophy at midfield? Will it be the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs? While all the dads, Brads, and Chads are waiting to figure that out, let's talk about one person who will be cheering for the Chiefs, Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift is one of the most popular singers of the early 21st century. Swift began her career as a country singer, but she later transitioned to writing and performing pop music. Swift was the first three-time female winner of the Grammy Award for Album of the Year and has won fourteen Grammys total. At the 2024 Grammy Awards, Swift broke the record for most Album of the Year Grammy wins, with 'Midnights' bringing her total to four.

In 2021, Swift began releasing re-recorded versions of her earlier works. Though her contract with Big Machine Records, her original record label, expired in 2018, the record label retained ownership of the masters of Swift’s first six albums. Swift broke another record with the opening night of her Eras Tour. The performance in Glendale, Arizona, on March 18, 2023, boasted an audience of 69,000 fans, breaking the 36-year-old record for the most-attended female concert in U.S. history. In 2023, TIME named Swift Person of the Year

Those of you not watching TikTok or the NFL might be curious as to what Taylor Swift has to do with the Super Bowl. Swift has been dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, since 2023. Swift was in attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri on Sept. 24, 2023. Kelce traveled to Buenos Aires to support Swift on her South American Eras Tour leg and opened up about the relationship in his November 2023 WSJ Magazine interview. Swift attended the AFC Championship game — where the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens 17-10, securing their spot in the Super Bowl.

While some might be sick of hearing about the pair, this matchup has had an impact on the NFL. According to a Jan. 29, 2024 article from NPR, "The league had its highest regular-season viewership among women since it began tracking in 2000. Research by the Apex Marketing Group says Swift's association with the NFL has added the equivalent of around $330 million in brand value to the Chiefs and the league."

But that's enough about football, let's get back to what we are all here for, Taylor Swift.
