Come enjoy reading and virtually discussing newer fiction and nonfiction titles. We discuss each title on Goodreads for a whole month. We also virtually discuss it LIVE via Zoom on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. The Zoom link can be found monthly on our Live Virtual Program page and will be posted at the beginning of each month on the Goodreads monthly discussion board.
In January, we'll be discussing The Body: a guide for occupants by Bill Bryson. The Zoom discussion will be on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. "Bill Bryson once again proves himself to be an incomparable companion as he guides us through the human body—how it functions, its remarkable ability to heal itself, and (unfortunately) the ways it can fail. Full of extraordinary facts (your body made a million red blood cells since you started reading this) and irresistible Brysonesque anecdotes, The Body will lead you to a deeper understanding of the miracle that is life in general and you in particular." - provided by the publisher
To join the Millhopper Book Club on Goodreads, please answer the Challenge Question(s). Once your request has been approved, you will be able to participate on the discussion board. Books will be available for discussion for the entire month, so you will have all of January to talk about The Body with other book club members.
