Teen Art Show

The Fall Teen Art Show is for teens ages 12-15. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to show off their skills, no matter the level. Submissions will be open from Friday, Sept. 16 to Friday, Oct. 14. All entrants will need to fill out an online Entry Form and take their 3D artwork to any of Alachua County's 12 library branches.

All artists and artwork must follow these guidelines:

  • Entrants must be between the ages of 12-15.
  • Each entrant is limited to three pieces of artwork.
  • All artwork must be the original work of the entrant.
  • Entries will be accepted from Sept. 16 - Oct. 14.
  • All 3D artwork (paintings, drawings, etc.) should be submitted to any of the 12 Alachua County Library branches once this Entry Form is complete and turned in.
  • All 3D artwork should be labeled with the artist's full name and the title of the piece. 3D artwork can be no bigger than 18” x 18" x 18".
  • Video entries should not run longer than five minutes and should contain captions for the hard of hearing. Video submissions must be submitted via email to Samantha Noll at snoll@aclib.us. Please include the title of the video and artist’s name in the email. Videos can be sent as an mp4 or QuickTime file or can be uploaded to YouTube.
  • Any videos containing music that belongs to someone else may be muted when/if they are shared on the library’s website or other social media sites.
  • All entrants must turn in a complete Entry Form. This Entry Form will serve as a liability waiver and as a release allowing the library to use and/or display the artist’s work. All artwork will be displayed on the library’s website, www.aclib.us, and on the library’s affiliated social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, or YouTube for the duration of the show and any extension thereof.

All artwork will be on display to the public at the Headquarters Library in downtown Gainesville on Oct. 22 - 23. Winners will be announced via the library’s website on Sunday, Oct. 23. Prizes will be given for the following: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place with four Honorable Mentions, Best Logo, and four category winners. Decisions of the judges are final.
