Alachua County Library District is pleased to announce we will be hosting the Fall Teen Art Show! This is a wonderful opportunity for teens ages 12-15 of all skill levels to show off their artistic side. Submissions will be open from Monday, September 2 until Saturday, September 28. All entrants will need to fill out and submit a paper Entry Form and take their artwork to any of Alachua County's 12 library locations.
All artworks will be on display to the public at the Headquarters Library in downtown Gainesville on Oct. –12-13. Winners will be announced at the October 12th reception, and also will be viewable via the library’s website on Monday, Oct. 14.
- Artwork Guidelines
- Entrants must be between the ages of 12-15.
- Each entrant is limited to three pieces of artwork.
- All artwork must be the original work of the entrant.
- Entries will be accepted from September 2 to September 28.
- All 3D artwork (paintings, drawings, etc.) should be submitted to any of the 12 Alachua County Library locations once this Entry Form is complete and turned in.
- All 3D artwork should be labeled with the artist's full name and the title of the piece. 3D artwork can be no bigger than 18” x 18" x 18".
- Video entries should not run longer than five minutes and should contain captions for the hard of hearing. Video submissions must be submitted via email to Jenny Guan at ysref@aclib.us. Please include the title of the video and artist’s name in the email. Videos can be sent as an .mp4 or QuickTime file or can be uploaded to YouTube.
- Any videos containing music that belongs to someone else may be muted when/if they are shared on the library’s website or other social media sites.
- All entrants must turn in a complete Entry Form. This Entry Form will serve as a liability waiver and as a release allowing the library to use and/or display the artist’s work. All artwork will be displayed on the library’s website, www.aclib.us, and on the library’s affiliated social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, or Youtube for the duration of the show and any extension thereof.
