Join us for our 6th Annual Battle of the Books competition!
We are looking for TEENS who love to read to join our teams and compete in our Battle of the Books. Teens will be asked to attend regular meetings throughout the summer and to read the 3 selected books that will be used in the challenge.
Battle of the Books is a competition between library branches. Teens at each branch read the selected books and then come up with detailed questions about events and characters to test their familiarity with the books. The final challenge will be competing against teens at other branches to see who has the best knowledge of the books and can answer the questions the fastest.
This year's "Battle" will take place on Saturday, July 25, 1:00 PM in Meeting Room A, at Headquarters Library. It will be a fun and exciting competition!
The titles of the three selected books are: Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz, The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey and Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
As a special treat, author Rick Yancey will be present at the final battle. Mr. Yancey will give a presentation and add his expertise to the exciting event.
