Aliens
Reviewed by: Jessica, Library Specialist
Hi, my name is Jessica from the Millhopper branch of the Alachua County Library District, and I recommend this 1986 science fiction adventure Aliens. It is the sequel to the 1979 science fiction horror Alien. This movie features Sigourney Weaver, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role as Lieutenant Ellen Ripley. Weaver’s nomination for this movie was the first ever for an actress in a role in an action movie. This movie will get your heart pumping as you watch Lieutenant Ripley go head to head with Xenomorphs in an unforgettable battle scene, while also protecting the sole human survivor of the most recent attack.

Cowboy Bebop

Hi, Assh here and I'd like to talk to you about one of my favorite action adventure anime Cowboy Bebop. This 90s anime packs in science fiction, action, adventure, mystery and some detective work, all on one spaceship. This classic anime has both a television show and a movie which we have available at the library. I highly suggest it and the music is absolutely banging.

The Fifth Element
Reviewed by: Jennifer, Librarian Supervisor
The Fifth Element starring Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich is a fun action adventure movie that holds up to the test of time. It’s a funny, offbeat, sci-fi film with a female hero, gender fluidity, and a black president that debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1997 to lukewarm reviews. Now, it’s reached cult status and is infinitely re-watchable.

Life of Pi
Reviewed by: Fiona, Library Specialist
Hi, I'm Fiona from Cone Park library, and for adventure, I recommend Life of Pi. This 2012 film is based on the novel by Yann Martel. I'm a fan of Irrfan Khan who played Pi. Pi’s life story includes his zoo-owning family sailing to Canada when a storm takes the lives of everyone except Pi and a Bengal tiger, and they must learn to co-exist on the tattered vessel adrift in the middle of the Pacific. For adventure, Life of Pi.
