Art Show at the Library

For the past year the library has been even more quiet than usual. We've been limited to curb service, there are no crowds of children on the computers, and art classes have been suspended. As the weather warms and more people recieve their vaccine we are able to expand our browsing hours!

Beginning Saturday, March 27, the library will be open for browsing from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Masks and physical distancing are still required and we aren't able to bring back the chairs yet, but no longer will you have to rush here on your lunch break.

When you visit please take a look at our walls to admire the artwork on display. Ms. Teasley's art classes at Micanopy Area Cooperative School were tasked with creating book and library related art and they are now proudly up on our walls for everyone to enjoy. It has been a long year without the sound of kids running in the library (and library staff reminding them not to run!) so it was a joy to put these wonderful pieces up.

Hope to see you Saturday morning!
