Animals That Drive Story Time

Do you ever wonder if there are animals behind the wheel of the cars on the road?  Join us for this month's live story time as we read about Animals That Drive.  The event will be live via Zoom on Thursday, March 25 at 11:30 a.m.

Of course, there will be fun picture books and some songs and fingerplays.  You might even get ready ahead of time by making a car for your favorite stuffed animal.  Here are some websites that can show you how.

PBS Kids has instructions for a car big enough for you to ride in, but you could scale it down for your favorite plushie, or get behind the wheel together.  My favorite blogger at the Cotsen Children's Library at Princeton University has some detailed instructions for cool cardboard cars at her Pop Goes the Page site.  It doesn't take too much to turn an empty rectangular tissue box into a car fit for a pal.

Toot, toot! Beep, beep! Hope you can buckle up and join us.  If you just can't wait, here's some books to get your engines revving:
