Millhopper School of Witchcraft & Wizardry - January

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.

The fall semester was loads of fun, and the House points are adding up!  We ended the fall semester with House Socials and the Yule Ball.

Here is the current standing:

Ravenclaw: 303
Hufflepuff: 254
Gryffindor: 233
Slytherin: 228

Well done, Ravenclaw.  You continue to lead, but watch out, because Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Slytherin are not far behind!

Don’t forget, you can earn 3 points by attending MSWW programs; 2 points for attending any library program at Millhopper or any other Alachua County Library location.  You can also earn up to 5 points on passive activities.  January’s activities are available now.

We have a fun line up of classes this month.  First up, Divinations on January 10th at 4:30 PM  Ruth Raymer will be here and she'll be demonstrating Tarot Cards and Palm Readings.

On January 13th at 1:30 PM we have the Harry Potter Movie Workout Challenge.  Get fit while watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  Can you keep up with the exercises?

Dumbledore's Army

Dumbledore’s Army meets January 17th at 5:00 PM  We have a craft or activity to do while we talk about all things Harry Potter.  This is your chance to discuss any programming you would like to see offered by the Millhopper School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the Millhopper Library in general.

Ordinary Wizarding Level Examinations

As always, we have two options for the OWLs.  The first OWLs program is January 22 at 4:30 PM and The second OWLs program is January 23 at 6:00 PM  This month's book is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  Need a copy?  Just stop by the library and ask.

The last class this month should be amazing.  We have an Astronomy class on January 25th at 6:00 PM.  We are lucky to have someone from the Santa Fe Planetarium coming to speak to us!astronomy

As always, if you have any questions please call (352) 334-1272 or email msww@aclib.us

And finally, we may have eliminated some suspects, but we still do not know who the dark witch or wizard is who has infiltrated the school.  Keep looking for clues around the library and see if you can be the one to solve the mystery!
