Have you noticed the beautiful cover of the Autumn 2016 THINK? That painting, “Peacock,” was created by Miranda Waters, who was 11 years old at the time. She was the Best Logo winner at our 2015 TAS for ages 12-15.
The 2016 Teen Art Show (Ages 12-15) is right around the corner. The event will take place October 29-30, with the judges’ announcement and reception at 11:00 am on the 29th.
Entries will be accepted no earlier than 9:30 am on Monday, September 26 and no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25. Entries may be submitted to all ACLD branches, and must be accompanied by a completed Entry Form. Entry forms can be picked up at all library branch locations or printed (below).
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place with four Honorable Mentions. There are six overall prizes: Best in Show, Best Logo, Best Photography, Best Digital Image, Best Sculpture or 3D artwork and Crowd Favorite. Please see the Rules and Regulations (below) for additional information.
It takes a lot of courage to share your artwork with professional judges and the larger community. Each participants will be recognized and receive a certificate at the judges' announcement and reception.
The Teen Art Show for ages 16-19 will take place in early 2017. We are currently looking at dates.
Nature photography, acrylic painting or pencil drawing, or funky recycled scuplture--we are so excited to see the variety of remarkable talent this year!
