Five judges from around Gainesville came together wtih the difficult task of awarding thirteen pieces for talent and uniqueness. One judge, Susan Cooksey of the Harn Museum of Art said "Many works had great ideas and execution. I was impressed with those that showed a sense of exploring one's identity and a keen observation of life. Thanks for the chance to see this amazing group of works and to the entrees for sharing them. I hope all of you continue to explore art."
All of the artists received certificates for artistic excellence and participation. We are happy to showcase these artists' talent and courage! Thank you to all who were able to attend the announcement and reception on Saturday, October 14th at the Headquarters Library--and to all who visited the gallery and took the time to vote on Crowd Favorite.
