Looking for some sweet sounds to kick off the Holidays? Harpist Barbara Kerkhoff is playing a special Holiday concert at the Millhopper Branch on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. Listen along as Ms. Kerkhoff plucks Hanukkah songs and Christmas Carols on her harp.

Barbara Kerkhoff has almost 40 years of experience as a freelance harpist, and she was drawn to the instrument from a young age, saying “My dream as a five-year-old was to play the harp.” Her musical journey has included work with the Miami Valley Orchestra and the Dayton Area Harp Ensemble. Today, her repertoire includes, “popular, Celtic and classical selections.”

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Kerkhoff says, “One of my greatest pleasures is to bring beauty, joy and peace to my listeners by playing the harp for them.”
