University of Florida Homecoming & Gator Growl is a week of events including the homecoming pageant, Soulfest, SunTrust Gator Gallop, festival, parade, Gator Growl, and alumni BBQ. Homecoming week honors Gator traditions and fosters community. Gator Growl is the largest student-run pep rally in the nation and the highlight of homecoming at the University of Florida. The event has been reinvented into a music festival located at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center that includes performances by UF organizations and musical acts. For more information, visit www.gatorgrowl.org.
As of now, Gator Growl 2021 is planning for in-person events. We have secured both an opening and main act. We are still in the process of securing another act. There will be performances by Neon Trees and popular music artist Gunna. We encourage all to follow us on socials at @hcgatorgrowl to stay up to date on all things Gator Growl.
Coordinating several events and a concert, student-run, is always challenging, but members of Gator Growl are always up to the task. In light of last year's Homecoming & Gator Growl during the heart of the virus, we're focusing this year on the Heart of the Gator Spirit. Even in times of challenge, our organization continues to put its best foot forward for the benefit of the greater Gator nation. Without a doubt, this Gator Growl will be unforgettable, a comeback, and something the Gators has never seen before. If anything has remained the same throughout this past year, it's the spirit of the Gator heart; that simply, is one you cannot forget." ---Madeline Wells, Producer of Public Relations.
