Last day of school and beyond

In just one more week, Alachua County Public Schools will be beginning summer break!

Yes. This is exciting for the kids and some parents, alike. However, if you haven't yet found something to keep them busy, you may not be celebrating like the others.

So here's a list of programs being offered in the area that might just fancy your child's interests ... or at least lessen the number of days that they sleep in only to wake and tell you, "I'm boooored".

You're welcome.

For starters, head down to your nearest library branch or register online to begin your Summer with the Library.  Enjoy library sponsored virtual events and earn freebies, while supplies last.

Then, check out some of these other community offerings that may be of benefit to your child.

Archery Camps

GB Camp Excellence

Good News Arts Summer Art Camp

I Am STEM

Ignite My Purpose Summer Camp

Jordan Glen Summer Camp

Kulaqua River Ranch Waterpark Community Days

Legacy Park Summer Adventure Camp

Summer @ Santa Fe

Also, don't forget that you can access the Alachua County Library District's catalog from home for Sunshine State Young Reader Award books.

Alachua County residents can also access ebooks on the Overdrive and Libby apps.

For free craft ideas, check out Creativebug using your library card.

Happy summer! We hope your days are full of joy and relaxation; and we hope to see you enjoying Summer with the Libary.
