Gainesville Fla.- Due to Tropical Storm Idalia approaching Alachua County, all locations of the Alachua County Library District will be closed from Tuesday, August 29, at 1 p.m. through Wednesday, August 30. All branches of the ACLD will return to normal operating hours on Thursday, August 31, pending any further notice from the ACLD.
Please stay tuned to ACLD social media as well as the News section of the ACLD website for updates about the Library District reopening. Online services will remain available at www.aclib.us.
Alachua County will distribute sandbag bags (10 per car) at Wayside Park 11855 NW US 441 from 8 a.m. until noon Tuesday. Call your local city government for their sandbag locations. For more information, visit the Alachua County website. Alachua County has also activated the 311 Emergency Information Line. This is for questions and rumor control.
