The Alachua County Library District was chosen as the recipient of a ProLiteracy National Book Fund award.
For 30 years, ProLiteracy has used this fund to award selected programs with print and digital instructional resources. The awards are based on a comprehensive application process that weighs a number of factors, including each applicant’s current needs combined with detailed plans outlining how they will use the grant to increase program capacity to better serve the needs of adults in their community.
We are proud to say that our Literacy Program was among 39 recipients across the US and Canada selected to receive a grant award. You can read more about this year’s ProLiteracy National Book Fund awards at their website, https://www.proliteracy.org/news/this-years-national-book-fund-recipients-announced/.
The Library District was awarded $1,328.74 that will be used to support literacy efforts in Alachua County.
