written and illustrated by Robin Page
Birds have different kinds of beaks. Each type of beak is used by birds differently. This nonfiction story has two levels of text. The larger font in color tells what each beak does and is geared toward younger children. The smaller black font gives more information about each bird. The beautiful and simple illustrations show an array of birds. Supplemental information in the back of the book includes a size comparison of each bird to each other and to a human, the habitat of each bird located on a map, and what each bird eats.
