Fall Teen Art Show

Teen Art Show for Ages 12-15

Picasso said "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." Alachua County Library District wants to help keep teens as artists. The Fall Teen Art Show is for anyone ages 12-15 who wants to share their artistic side.

The Teen Art Show for 12-15-year-olds will take place on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00 am at the Headquarters Library. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with four Honorable Mentions.  We will also be awarding prizes for Best in Show, Best Logo, Best Photography, Best Digital Image, Best Sculpture or 3D art, Best Video, and Crowd Favorite.

Entries will be accepted no earlier than 9:30 am on Saturday, September 9th, and no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 12th . Entries may be submitted at any ACLD branch, and must be accompanied by a completed entry form.  Entry forms can be picked up at all library branch locations, or printed (below).

Each entrant is limited to three (3) pieces of artwork. Two-dimensional artwork must be matted or framed, and must be labeled on the back with the artist’s name and the title of the artwork. Three-dimensional artwork can be no bigger than 12" x 12" x 12". Video entries should not run longer than five minutes.

We are so excited to see what these teens will do this year!
