The My Favorite Crime Book Club started on September 14, 2017 at the Headquarters Library. The club initially met one evening a month, until the library shut down in March 2020 due to COVID. The club briefly held virtual discussions on Goodreads in Spring 2021, before restarting in-person meetings on December 12, 2021. Meetings were then held one Sunday a month at the Headquarters Library until December 2023.
In January 2024, the book club officially moved to the Tower Road Branch Library. The club meets on the first Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room. Book club members new and old can meet to discuss the month's non-fiction title, as well as other true crime cases and stories. Each month's book is made available in print format, as well as digitally on Libby when possible.
This blog has been established as a reference point for anyone who is interested in what our book club has read in the past. Titles include well-known cases, as well as some lesser known cases that have been chosen by the host and/or members. Previous titles are now organized by date read by the club, starting with the current year and working back to 2017.
